Big Island police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 49-year-old man wanted by Nevada authorities.  

Dennis Roy Garcia is wanted on a warrant issued out of Nye County, Nevada, for sexual offenses. 

He is originally from the Big Island but moved to Nevada several years ago. Garcia was reportedly seen recently in the Puna and Hamakua areas. 

Garcia is described as Hispanic,  5-foot-8, about 160 pounds with brown eyes, partially gray balding hair, a mustache and a beard. He may be in the company of a teenage girl.

Police ask anyone with any information on Garcia's whereabouts to call Detective Robert Hatton at 961-2380 or the Police Department's non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
