MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives Saturday (June 12, 1999) charged a 26-year-old Hilo woman with first-degree terroristic threatening.

The suspect, Maraea Laranang, is being held without bail in the Hilo police cellblock.

Laranang had been arrested Thursday for conspiracy to commit murder. She was arrested at her Kalanianaole Avenue residence after she had obtained a handgun to commit the act.
