Police are investigating a possible assault that left a man hospitalized Saturday (October 26, 2002) in critical condition.
Responding to a 2:31 p.m. call, South Hilo patrol officers found an unidentified man lying unconscious on the ground at a Kalanianaole Street address in Hilo’s Keaukaha area.
Fire rescue took the injured man to the Hilo Medical Center emergency room, where he was admitted in critical condition with head injuries.
Hilo Criminal Investigation Section detectives are continuing the investigation as an assault case.
