Hawaii County police have arrested a 19-year-old man for escape.

Kyle Kekupono Lee Loy was reported to have escaped from Hale Nani Correctional Facility on Tuesday (September 2) at 9:09 p.m.

On Wednesday (September 3), Criminal Investigation Detectives located Lee Loy in the area of Orchidland Drive in the Puna District. They arrested him without incident at 4:33 p.m.

He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock pending further investigation.
