MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Big Island police have arrested and charged a 38-year-old man sought since April as an escapee from the Hawaii Community Correctional Center in Hilo.

At 11 a.m. Tuesday (August 9, 2005), East Hawaii Vice Officers arrested Christopher Neal Nasario at a Hilo residence on Railroad Avenue while executing an unrelated search warrant. Nasario was charged with escape.

Nasario allegedly violated the terms of his furlough by failing to report his whereabouts to HCCC personnel, who reported him missing on April 2, 2005.
