MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii Isle Police Activities League (HIPAL) is sponsoring its annual HI-PAL 8 and Under Basketball Jam, an island-wide event taking place on September 30, 2005 to October 2, 2005 in Hilo.

Teams interested in participating are encouraged to call the HI-PAL office, as this tournament will be limited to the first eight teams. A team from Oahu will be among participating teams in this year’s tournament.

This tournament is for advance level teams and will be using a single elimination format with each team playing a minimum of two games. Tournament play will take place at the Papaikou Gym.
