MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are looking for a 15-year-old boy reported missing from his home in Kona since June 11, 2004.

He was identified as Mathew K. Akina. Akina is described as being 5-foot-6 in height, weighing about 166 pounds with a medium build and having a tan complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Officer Peter Alu of the Kona Patrol Division, at 326-4646 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept strictly confidential.
