Eight officers from the Hawaii Police Department have been promoted to the rank of sergeant/detective. They are:
- Allan K. Watanabe, sergeant, South Hilo Patrol
- Richard B. Toledo, sergeant, South Kohala Patrol
- James K. Correa, detective, Vice Section, Area I
- Paul M. Fukuda, detective, Criminal Investigations Section, Area I
- Alan M. Kimura, detective, Internal Affairs Unit
- BJ Duarte, detective, Criminal Investigations Section, Area I
- Walter K. Ah Mow III, detective, Criminal Investigations Section, Area II
- Marjorie-Ann L. Kahookele, detective, Vice Section, Area II
The promotions take effect on October 16.
