Kona Criminal Investigation detectives are investigating a reported Abuse Household Member, Kidnapping, Sex Assault, Assault and Promoting Detrimental Drugs which occurred in South Kohala.
On October 27, 1999, at 10:05 P.M., South Kohala patrol officers responded to a call of a loud domestic occurring at a condominium in Waikoloa, South Kohala.
According to the 41 year old, female victim, of Hayward, California, reported being struck in the chest and choked by a male companion. The female also reported being physically restrained from leaving the condominium and sexually assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect, a 50-year-old male, of Oakland, California, has been arrested and is being held in the Kona Police cellblock. Kona Criminal Investigation Section detectives are continuing the investigation.
