MEDIA RELEASE (UPDATE NO. 2)

Big Island police have charged the man arrested Thursday (March 8) in connection with a fatal shooting in Waikoloa.

Lito Mateo, 53, of Waikoloa was charged at 5:53 p.m. with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

His bail was set at $500,000. If he cannot post bail, he will be held at the Kealakehe police cellblock until his initial court appearance.
