Big Island police are searching for a 27-year-old Kaʻū man wanted on three warrants.
Michael J. Kaawa, frequents the South Kona, Hōlualoa and Kailua-Kona areas. He is wanted on a $20,000 warrant of arrest for drug offenses and two $300 bench warrants for failure to appear in court. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with a terroristic threatening and criminal property damage incident.
Kaawa is described as 5-foot-10, 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
